Before every Wolverines Golf Tournament is the annual Big Break Challenge and kick off party.

Rules to the Big Break Challenge

1st Event – Putting Challenge @ Main Practice Green

Each team gets 2 Putts – There will be 3 lines to putt from

1st line 3ft = 1 point
2nd line 6ft = 3 points
3rd line 12ft = 6 points

Teams in top 75% of points will advance to the second leg of the challenge

2nd Event – Chipping Challenge @ Main Practice Green

Each team gets a total of 4 chips (2 each). There will be 3 squares around the hole.

In the hole = 10 points
1st square = 6 points
2nd square = 3 points
3rd square = 1 point

Teams in top 50% of points will advance to last leg of the challenge.

Starting with 2 teams at random draw from the 16 teams.

Both teams will get a pile of balls and their own pane of glass. 1st team to break the glass advances. THE OTHER TEAM IS ELIMINATED.

Repeat until down to final 4 teams. Next two eliminated teams play for 3rd and the winners play for 1st & 2nd. Fastest to break the glass wins!
